Perlinette Fir Wood is a natural clumping litter made from the bark of fir wood, thoughtfully crafted for cats and their owners who value eco-conscious choices. Sourced from sustainably used fir trees, only the bark is selected as it is the most porous part of the tree and contains virtually no resin or tannins, making it an exceptionally safe and effective litter option.
Perlinette Fir Wood begins its journey at the sawmill, where fir bark is ground and blended with potato starch to create natural clumping. It is then compressed under high pressure into pellets to remove moisture, and slowly dried in a tunnel using hot air generated by a scrap wood boiler, a fully circular process. The result is a product with a residual humidity of just 10 to 12%, virtually free of tannins and resins. With an absorption rate of over 180%, this litter is extremely absorbent, bio-compatible, compostable, and nontoxic, while offering zero odour, delivering outstanding performance with minimal environmental impact.
